not your mother’s beach babe #NYMBeachBabe

Hello Everyone!

I received some sample bottles of Not Your Mother’s Beach Babe texturizing shampoo and conditioner from Influenster to try for free.

My hair is a little bit naturally wavy. I was interested to try these because I feel like my hair doesn’t usually hold any curls or extra waves that you are supposed to get from products like these. I had high hopes for what my hair might look like and tried these in the shower right away.

I love the smell of the shampoo and enjoyed how it felt in my hair in the shower. I didn’t like the smell of the conditioner as much.

My hair was a little wavy but I don’t know how much of that is from this product and how much of that is the little bit of waviness I get in my hair when I don’t use any products. I’ve used the shampoo and conditioner a few times and my hair always looks about the same. One day I didn’t comb my hair after the shower and I think it was a little bit more wavy on that day then the other days.

I would be curious to try some of the other Beach Babe products, like the Sea Salt Spray.

Have any of you tried these products?

Hope you’re enjoying your summer!

  1. I didn’t get this in my VoxBox but I went out and tried it because I was curious how it would work with my naturally wavy hair. The shampoo/conditioner on it’s own didn’t seem much different than any other shampoo/conditioner for wavy hair. BUT, I also purchased the Sea Salt Spray and the Hair Cream – those two items make a HUGE difference. I highly recommend the spray and the cream since you already have naturally wavy hair. They make my waves separated and noticeable and I feel they really keep the frizz down. Plus, they make my hair smell awesome. 😉
